Kingdom Carnassia (Text Demo)
For Game Design. Majorly behind in comparison to peers, but I did start this game from scratch rather than continue Simple Start for this assignment.
There's going to be a lot of writing involved, and I plan to continue working on this one.
Ideally by now I'd have added music or graphics, but I think that will take more time. I do have some stuff picked out, just need to refine it.

Wonderful start! I like that you gave the player a brief introduction that outlines what we’re in for— this is actually very very important in game-building. We tend to assume that players will know and automatically understand what they’re working with, but the truth is that we can’t take that for granted! Even though it is still a WIP I can tell that you’re building solid bones for something that feels epic. You’ve given a lot of attention and detail to your design choices to really set a tone that comes through 100%. I hope you’ll consider utilizing sound and music in the future if you keep working on this piece. Adding ambience through sound could really make this story sing. Keep at it!!
hi alex, thanks a ton! i do want to use sound and music, and have found some things i do want to utilize. i was thinking about using some music by an indie game artist, alias conrad coldwood, who does a lot of stuff with mortis ghost (particularly for OFF). i really appreciate your feedback!
Your writing is really good. Everything is so vividly and descriptive, and I felt like I was really in this world. So far I like the interactivity between Kain?( I'm bad with names) and how he already has such personality to him. I know this game is early in development, so one suggestion I could give is to remove the slow dissolve feature if you're going back to a previous point. I like how they're done as you're progressing, but if you want to have the player go back to previous points, the transitions can get tiring. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the game when it's done!
